A Brand New Week

Here I am modeling a variation of Dancing Leaf Farm's Retro Scarf. It's a completely addictive and quick-to-knit pattern, and I've made three of them in the last two weeks! This one is in Colinette Giotto ribbon yarn in the Madras colorway. I've also made one using Colinette Isis (a viscose chenille that doesn't worm, but it sheds a bit) in Lichen, and Knitpicks Quarry in Ubatuba. These may or may not become holiday gifts - because I want to keep them all for myself!

What else am I knitting? I started a cotton chenille Bobbles and Eyelets dishcloth from Mason-Dixon Knitting, and an Airy Scarf, from Last Minuted Knitted Gifts with Knit Picks Suri Dream Hand Dyed in Rose Quartz. It's not quite "airy," as the Suri Dream is a super bulky yarn, but it's simple and fast and has a nice drape. I just finished another Sursa, earmarked for a friend, and hope to get started on a couple of purses soon too. I'm just cranking out the goods!

Happy Birthday, Dad!
Today is my dear old Dad's 70th birthday -- but he can still pass for 50-something. Have a good one, Dad!
