If you're interested in joining me in knitting with Noro in November, leave me a comment and I'll add your name and blog to my sidebar. This isn't a formal knitalong, and there will be no pressure. I know Noro has many fans out there already, and this might be a good opportunity for people who haven't tried the stuff to pick up a skein or ten and give it a go!
From counting the images I've posted on this blog, I've used Noro yarns in 17 projects! I think there are probably a couple more that might not have made it online - at least one other Silk Garden multidirectional diagonal scarf, for sure.
A couple of these patterns came from Knitty:
Urban Rustic Gloves and Bloom; some from Black Sheep Bags: the Booga Bag, and Kristina; and various of Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton's Noro pattern books: Sursa, Klaralund, Lortorp, Orsa.
My favorite of Noro's yarns are Blossom and Silk Garden, but I also like Big Kureyon, regular Kureyon, and Shinano a lot too. I always have a nice selection of all of the above in my stash, and I plan to dust off a few skeins and use them in November. I already have a felted bag in the works, and I hear Ms. Tuttle Hamilton has yet another Noro book out. Do join me this Norovember! Please leave a comment if you'd like to join up, or drop me an e-mail at theminx1ATcomcastDOTnet. And if you'd like to design a button, send them along and I'll post them. We'll have a vote on the best and there will be a prize.
