Rain Rain, Go Away

I was lucky that the rain subsided long enough for me to get to work this morning.  The wind was still pretty fierce though.  I always worry that my umbrella will get turned inside-out in weather like this.

Rain aside, it was a pretty good weekend.  I got some long-overdue Web work done.  Despite me telling everyone I no longer do Web design, I am currently working on three sites, two new ones and adding a shopping cart to an existing one for a friend.  :::headslap:::

Sunday of course was Mother's Day and Neal and I made dinner for his mom, started at our house and completed in hers.  Her kitchen is so tiny, I like to get as much done as possible ahead of time so basically all I have to do there is reheat stuff.  This time we did shrimp etouffée, at her request, and I must say I've made better in the past. Sigh.

My hand is healing up nicely.  Took a few days before the edges of the wound started to come together (I probably should have gotten stitches) but now it's scabby.  I'll definitely have a noticeable scar when it's all said and done though.

I've been knitting all week, picking up again on those Christmas gifts.  I've got 3 3/4 of them complete, plus a little stripey scarf out of some coordinating balls of scrap yarn.  I gotta get back to that mitten too....
