I love November. We're finally firmly ensconced in Autumn, so the weather is cooler (at least most years). My birthday comes mid-month, and I love gifts and going out for celebratory dinners and generally being fussed over. Thanksgiving comes soon after, and my family always has quite the feast, followed by football and snoozing the afternoon away. And now November is also the month to knit with Noro yarns, a.k.a. NOROvember!
I love Noro. The long color changes that create self-striping yarn just fascinates me (and yarn manufacturers too, apparently, as I'm seeing lots of clones on the market), and the color combinations are just spectacular. Kureyon is one of the first yarns I bought after I started knitting, to make a Booga Bag. Now, I have a decently-large stash of all sorts of Noro products, from Silk Garden and Kureyon to Silk Mountain and Aurora. There are always so many projects I want to knit up during the year that sometimes my Noro gets ignored. But in November I can concentrate on knitting up several things with it. A shawl, mittens, and gloves are on my agenda. What's on yours?
